What I’ve been up to..

Another long stretch of inactivity.. So, I figured I’d throw out a post about what I’ve been up to, and what I have coming down the pipeline.

I’ve been spending a lot of time over the past year working with the iPhone, as my post about ARM VFP might suggest. In doing so, I’ve been putting together a fairly basic 2D game engine that I’m hoping to use for some game ideas I have. I’ve also been polishing my Cocoa skills so that I can bring a decent set of design tools to the table for creating the content for my games.

During all of this, I’ve been creating new blog posts describing a few of the things that I’m exploring, and developing. Unfortunately, all of these posts have remained drafts since I haven’t taken the time to polish them and commit them to the interwebs. So, I’ll be taking a little time over the next week or so, to cross my ‘T’s and dot my ‘i’s in those posts and hopefully bring some interesting content to this site, for once. ;)

Here are some of the topics I’m writing about:

  • Dynamic Shadowing in 2D
  • Integrating Lua into an Objective-C based Game Engine.
  • More ARM VFP Code.
  • Grid-based Mesh Decimation – A fun one that I worked on over a year ago, for very simple 3D terrain optimization.

There’s more on the plate as well.. but that will come in time. :)
